Movie chat forums are awash in excitement over the release of the upcoming new trailer of the rebooted “Ghostbusters” franchise.
But there’s also a question about how much is enough.
In the trailer, the team that makes the movie’s costumes are shown to be “sick and tired of being called ghosts,” and so they’re out to make their own costume, the new film’s director and star say.
The new trailer is just one part of the Ghostbusters universe that was recently updated for the digital release of “Ghostbuster 2049,” which opens in theaters on Aug. 8.”
And we’ve gotta do it the right way.”
The new trailer is just one part of the Ghostbusters universe that was recently updated for the digital release of “Ghostbuster 2049,” which opens in theaters on Aug. 8.
It includes the classic ’80s film “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and a video from “Ghostbusting,” the 1999 movie that introduced the character of Bill Murray.
It’s a big, big part of a new universe that has also included a series of movies and animated shows, including the reboot of the “Halloween” franchise, a reboot of “The Walking Dead” and new live-action “Transformers.”
For “Ghost-busters,” the new “Day the Earth” and “Ghosting” films are all part of that new “Ghosts,” but this time around, they’re based on real people who worked on the original “GhostBusters” series.
That’s the way the studio wanted to do it.
We have the power to change the history of “Busters,” said producer Alex Kurtzman in a statement Friday.
And I’m thrilled to finally share a new version of that story, based on the real Ghostbusters who were actually here and the fact that the new movie will tell a whole new story of the original ‘GhostBuster’ franchise.
