Prometheus, the latest installment of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi franchise, has been leaked online.
The trailer for the film was leaked to the public on Wednesday and includes footage from the upcoming movie.
Prometheus, which is scheduled for release on December 16, is set in the near future and tells the story of a crew of scientists led by a human, Dr. Stephen Hawking.
It is the first installment in the long-running sci-fantasy franchise.
The film has received mixed reviews and has not made it to the big screen, but is expected to be a huge hit.
A representative for Prometheus said in a statement to Digital Movie News: “Prometheus has been a critical and commercial success for Sony Pictures Motion Pictures, with its $1.6 billion worldwide box office.
The story of humanity’s quest for interstellar travel and the evolution of technology is a timeless and deeply affecting story that remains relevant today.
This is a new chapter in the franchise, and we look forward to bringing audiences to Prometheus in theaters this December.”
The trailer for Prometheus features footage from Ridley Scott and the crew of the starship Prometheus.
Promos director Guillermo del Toro has already teased the sequel, saying that he has “tweaked and changed some of the story lines” and that the crew are “the only ones on this planet who have the ability to understand it.”
Prometheus 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on December 22, 2020, but no release date has been announced.
