A few days ago we reported that Legendary Pictures was going to release a Godzilla movie based on the popular manga and anime.

Today we get a first look at some of the footage we’re seeing, and it looks pretty great.

Godzilla: Battle of the Bulge, Godzilla vs. Megalon, Godzilla Vs.

Kong: Skull Island, and Godzilla vs the Sea Monsters are all listed as being in development, with an estimated release date of 2017.

There’s also a trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters which you can check out above.

Godzilla is one of the biggest movies in history, so this is a huge step forward in making this a truly great movie.

We’ve been hearing for a while that Legendary was planning on releasing a Godzilla film, but it was always assumed that the studio would have to do a lot more research into the character and the history of the franchise before going ahead.

Now that the project is on the backburner, the studio is getting ready to do some behind-the-scenes work, and we’ll have to wait until next year to get a better look at what we’re getting.
